Here at FV Presbyterian, we believe in engaging the world, and putting our faith into action. In his letter, the Apostle James says, “But be doers of the Word, and not merely hearers...” (James 1:22) It is important for us to put our faith in to action. And through our Mission Committee, youth groups, women’s groups, and other organizations within the church, we work to make a difference in our community and the world. In the past year members of our church have been involved in:
- Gleaning farm crops for food banks
- Visiting a local nursing home
- Preparing food for a homeless women’s shelter
- Making Christmas boxes for the Samaritan’s purse
- Traveled to Puerto Rico do a number of activities
- Gave money to several different organizations
- Rang Bells for the Salvation Army
- And many, many more things
Our Mission Committee works to help us find ways to be people who carry the love of Christ to our hurting and broken world. We invite you to join us as we bring our faith to our hands and feet.
